Learn how ServiceMaster by Glenn's handled a multi-faceted project diligently
On April 11, 2024, at 12:30 PM, we received an urgent call from a homeowner who had been away for a month, only to return to severe water damage in his upstairs living area, upstairs bathroom, downstairs bathroom and guest bedroom. The bathroom ceiling was collapsing, and mold was visibly present. The entire downstairs needed to be micro-cleaned due to the mold spores traveling throughout the home and the air conditioning duct work. We immediately deployed our team and equipment to address the situation.
Comprehensive Restoration Efforts
Over the course of four weeks, from April 11 to May 6, 2024, we utilized 4 dehumidifiers and 9 air scrubbers to mitigate the damage and improve air quality.
Upstairs: The icemaker was identified as the source of the leak, necessitating flood cuts to remove damaged drywall, wood flooring, and plywood subfloor.
Downstairs: The primary affected bathroom required a complete gutting, including walls, ceiling, cabinets, and shower. A second bathroom sustained partial damage, leading to the removal of portions of the ceiling, walls, cabinets, and shower.
Additional Areas: The bedroom closet and hallway needed ceiling and wall removal along with some trim work.
Mold Remediation and Final Cleanup
Following the demolition, we treated all affected framing and conducted a thorough micro clean throughout the home to eradicate mold spores. Additionally, we ensured the AC system was cleaned to prevent any further contamination.
At ServiceMaster by Glenn's, we are committed to restoring your home to its original condition with the utmost care and efficiency. If you ever face similar issues, don't hesitate to reach out to our expert team.
